Caroling, Caroling Through the Snow

A family in our neighborhood rented a trailer, decked it out with hay and Christmas lights and asked us to come along for a ride caroling through the snow.
I dressed the kids in about 8 layers

and then trekked through the snow to the party
with the kids in tow on a yellow saucer with a makeshift rope pull.
We snuggled into the trailer on the hay and sang our hearts out.
The boys didn't last long in the dark, coldness because their cheeks were bare.
How do you cover little teeny cheeks without a massive protest?

After about an hour, Rhett was finally home so we dropped off Brenden.
Cam and I roughed it out a while longer and made it back to the Morgan's house
for homemade hot chocolate and goodies.

Kayana Morgan is the cutest 16 year old who invited us.
(Cam tells me I need to go on a date so she can come over to babysit).
It was such a fun idea and we had a blast.
